What you will need:
A small amount of worsted weight yarn in green or red
An even smaller amount of worsted weight yarn in brown and dark green.
A 5.5 mm crochet hook
Abbreviations Used in This Pattern:
Dc- double crochet
st- stitch
ch- chain
sc- single crochet
BLO- back loop only
sl st- slip stitch
Pattern:
Hat:
Ch 2 with main color
1. Work 11 dc in first ch, sl st to join
2. Ch 2, (dc, 2 dc in next st) around, sl st to join
3. Ch 2, (dc in next 2 stitches, 2 dc in next st) around, sl st to join
4. Ch 2 (dc in next 3 stitches, 2 dc in next st) around, sl st to join
5-9. dc in each st around, sl st to join
10. sl st around
Leaf:
Ch 11 with brown yarn
Dc BLO along ch, ch 4, turn over, dc through left-over loops on other side of chain.
Stem:
Ch 2
1. 4 sc in first ch
2-3. sc around
Finishing:
Sew leaf and stem together, and then sew them to the top of the hat. Weave in all ends.
